SOS Yachting is thrilled to announce the approval of the E-Charter Permission Platform; the long-anticipated alternative to the Greek Charter License.
On the 22nd of June, the Ministry of Shipping & Island Policy signed the agreement for final development to proceed.
For the last five years, our newly appointed Managing Director for SOS Yachting Greece, Maria Ntouka-Montesantou, has been pivotal in both creating this improved legislation and helping deliver it to market.
The news means chartering in Greece just got a whole lot easier where the E-Charter Permission Platform will allow all superyachts (+35 metres in length and not made from wood) to obtain a Specified Period Charter License valid for 21 days per calendar year (plus 7 days extension on the last charter) via a fiscal representative in Greece.
