4th Fiscal Meeting - Monaco 2018 - Hotel Hermitage

More than 130 people attended the 4th Fiscal Meeting organized by SOS Yachting
last September 25th at the Hermitage Hotel in Monaco, the day before the Boat Show.


A packed audience of, brokers, management consultants, captains and operators in the yachting industry attended the event to learn about the latest news on the subject of fiscal rules regarding yacht chartering in the main four hubs on the Mediterranean: Croatia, Italy, France&Monaco and Spain, the countries in which SOS Yachting operates through its dedicated offices.
 
Several were the issues addressed in the complicated sea of tax regulations in countries which are part of the European Union but are not united under uniform laws.
For Italy, Ezio Vannucci (Moores Rowland Partners) spoke about the Italian Commercial Exemption, the new controls by the tax authorities, Y.E.T (Yacht Engaged in Trade), and bunkering; for Spain, Miguel Ángel Serra (Albors Galiano Portales) spoke about matriculation tax, non-resident income tax, charter under temporary admission; Sanja Dujmic, operation manager at SOS Yachting Croatia, returned to the topic of the single vat rate (13%), the yearly renewal of charter license for non EU flagged yachts, increased inspections for yachts from other EU countries, Thierry Voisin, SOS Yachting France dealt with the topic of VAT on Broker Commission, VAT on APA, intracommunity delivery of goods, services, the auto reverse charge on import versus French Exemption procedure, the Y.E.T. regime and Maria Ntouka Montesantou, (A1 Yacht Trade Consortium), concluded by presenting some themes regarding Greece, such as the three stages for obtaining a commercial licence, a licence duration and other requirements.
